The 12v cigarette lighter in the front of my Wrangler is only powered when ignition is on. Is there a workaround?

The power outlet in the rear is constantly powered. Is the cord long enough to reach to the back? If not, will an extension cord work?

I do not think the cord is long enough to reach the rear.
Yes, an extension cord would work.
